He gave me the silent treatment...

The Silent Treatment.
Avec sa grandmere, bette.
All smiles...just a little fuzzy.

Lucien hates baths. So much so that he just yells if he gets wet. .. Lord help us all if he is ever rained upon. .. we will all be in for it!

I gave him a bath yesterday, and wrapped him up afterward to get him all warm. He stared straight ahead.. didn't even look at me. Didn't fuss. Rigid as a board as i toweled him off. And as soon as he was set down once he was clothed again, he fell clean asleep...

Soon Enough.

you know it's amazing to me that when in a room with multiple kids, michael and i could pick out if Lucien was crying.. and it's pretty funny how used to your own child's cry you get.. i remember at work if a little one went on a crying jag, everyone would bristle...and get cranky.. and now its even cute when they cry.. (of course in small amounts)
I hope everyone out there is doing well. Michael is loving bartending... he's good at it, and he classes up the joint (in my fair and probably mildly biased opinion).
As for me, i'm really trying to figure out this breast pumping stuff. I know, probably too much information--BELIEVE ME, it's too much for me too. Really i hate it. everything about it. there is no Making it Comfortable..
And other than that I've been really hoping to get out more. .. but because of the 'pumping' problems it doesn't look like that's gonna happen too soon... I'm pretty restless. and in dire need of a Margarita. no joke. SOON ENOUGH is my mantra. Soon Enough.

We went to Larimer Square yesterday for the sidewalk chalk arts festival. It was very inspiring. I want to get in on the fun next year... maybe a Botticelli would translate well to sidewalk?!
Something like a Warhol though would probably be a more significant statement, given that it's a forum for many businesses to advertise...
Here's some photos of some of our favorites...
Samurai.
An original piece.
Wow! This one was massive.. It doesn't even translate to how big of a scale it was....

This one was Michael's favorite.

This was mine. I wish i could get my hair to do that.

TAH-DAH!!!

the boy can't stay awake...

daddy time...

Lucien Grey Petri-Beshore was born on Friday May 30th, 2008 at 4:17 pm. He was a whopping 7 lbs, 1.7 ounces and a goodly 20 1/2 inches long. He's a Gemini, and he's into long walks on the beach (he just doesn't know it yet), crazy facial expressions, snoozing on papa's chest, and lots of boob time with mom.

We have been getting used to the lack of sleep and the sudden wantan to talk a little baby talk now and then...
